Portfolio

In addition to the podcast, I’m also a artist and graphic designer. These are some of the work that I’ve done while either freelancing or personal projects. I do logo designs, portraits, caricatures, and sequential art. If you have any inquires or request, please do not hesitate to e-mail me!

Whoa.

I love creating pop art. The 1960s is one of my personal favorite eras in terms of art and expression. Viewers will find a lot of pop art here on this page or in my sketchbook.

Hey

Another pop art piece. Creating them is a joy. The vibrant colors, simples lines, and halftones are what I think make the piece.

Davy

A logo that I designed for my dad’s collectible business. Although he loved it, I wasn’t a big fan of it. (At the time, I thought I could do better.) Yet, every day, it grows on me. Invocative of the cartoons from the 1930s, it is inspired from an era that I feel is largely unapprenticed by modern society…

Iron Man #1 Homage

Iron Man is a funny character. Before his feature film, he was largely declared an unpopular character by fans. However, Iron Man #1 is a book, that to me, is a landmark book of the Silver Age. Finally, the Crimson Avenger had his own solo book. As such, I’ve made a homage to that very book using my creator owned character.

Grinding

A piece I drew while working late nights at my day (or rather, night) job. It came to me after I worked an eleven hour shift and came home to finish up a commission.

Drowning

A drawing that popped into my head recently. I quickly drew it and colored it. The colors really set the mood for this one.

Showcase Homage

A homage to Showcase #4 (1956). My second favorite Silver Age cover. I love the aesthetic. Carmine Infantino was a genius and master at the craft. When it came to character designs and colors, few understood it better than him. I especially love the film reel. It’s like Infantino was telling the next generation, “This ain’t your daddy’s Flash.”

John Legend Portrait

Not too much to say about this one. I drew this shortly after listening to John Legend’s ‘Big Love’ album. I love R&B and Legend’s music is no exception. I love how this one came out.

Prologue

The prologue to my soon to be published creator owned book. I kept it short and simple.

Mittology Training Logo

The first logo I was assigned to design at 20 years old. It was exciting, yet terrifying at the same time. It was my first professional work. (The design was used for t-shirts, which I think is awesome!)
